VICTORIES FOR GLOBAL EQUITY AND SUSTAINABILITY
Just like the Civil Rights movement and major progressive shifts before that, change happens when everyday people not only attend rallies and marches but build organizations that can sustain social movements. We’re building organizational power at the local level to strengthen communities and activate the broad base of people who already support progressive policy on global issues at the national and international levels. We’re then leveraging this power to win campaigns for equity and sustainability around global vaccine access, progressive foreign policy, and global cooperation to address the climate crisis.

Our approach is make to global justice a core value alongside other key progressive measures that build an equitable, sustainable, and multiracial democracy in the US. We know that to have good jobs in the US we need to protect workers everywhere, to end pandemics we need to ensure everyone is safe, to have racial justice here we need to build a just global system, and to beat climate change we need to beat it around the world. Yet, this is not a consensus in the progressive movement. Our approach is to build alignment with organizations, elected officials, and movement leaders around our agenda and make internationalism a litmus test issue for progressives.

Through published articles, interviews, shareable videos, and earned media, we’re moving global justice into the center of the political debate.

In collaboration with other movements, we are working to shift the political discussion in this country away from nationalism, American exceptionalism, and neocolonialism towards a new narrative of progressive internationalism rooted in equity and environmental sustainability. Through published articles, interviews, shareable videos, and earned media, we’re moving global justice into the center of the political debate.
We’re kicking off a campaign to win global climate cooperation that will help us fight climate change in the US and around the world.
We’re going to achieve global climate justice by doing what we do best: deep organizing with impacted communities, running transformational actions that shift narrative towards cooperation, and building alignment across civil society organizations for progressive international policies. Together these strategies will help us pressure decision makers in the United States to honor their promises to reduce emissions and deliver climate funds through multilateral efforts.
